Must Watch: Mega Manila Subway will Start Under the Duterte Administration

Department of Transportation - DOT Philippines Secretary Arthur Tugade has proposed one of the ambitious infrastructure projects of the Duterte administration, the 'Mega Manila Subway'.

This will be the first subway train system in the Philippines which will utilize the Japanese tunneling expertise/technology. It's estimated cost is PHP 227,000,000 and can accommodate up to 350,000 daily passengers. The project will start on 2020, however, Sec. Tugade insists that he can push this project to start in 2019.

 The completion of the 'Mega Manila Subway' is expected at the second quarter of the year 2024. The target signing of contract is in November this year, hopefully by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzu Abe and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Secretary Arthur Tugade also appealed to the public to "Give us your trust, give us your confidence, and we will Build Build Build it!"
